Ken Doherty's 12 year reign as Irish Snooker Champion, due to no competition being held, ended on Wednesday
when he was defeated by Joe Swail 9 frames to 7 in a tense final.

12th October 2005 - Grand Prix
Fergal went out of the Grand Prix in Preston today
when he lost his best of nine frame match to Stuart Bingham.
Fergal began well winning the first frame to lead 1-0 then lost the next 2 frames to go behind 2-1.
He then made a century (106) to tie the match 2-2.
Unfortunately he then lost 3 frames running and the match ended 5-2.

10th October 2005 - Grand Prix
Fergal played Mark Williams in Preston today and won 5 frames to 3.
Fergal will now play Stuart Bingham.

28th September 2005 - Grand Prix
Fergal played Judd Trump in his first qualifying round at Prestatyn
and won 5 frames to 2. Fergal O'Brien now plays Mark Williams in the next round.
