Summer 2008
After finishing the season by playing in the
Championship,
I was looking forward to a nice break from the game this summer.
My wife, daughter and I went to PortAventura
in Salou in Spain.
The weather was lovely and we all had a great time, especially my daughter,
Isabel (7)
whos spent most of her time by the large pool or at the amusement parks there.
During the holiday I still managed to see
the Champions League footbal final
and as a Man. Utd. fan was delighted with the result, after some heart-stopping
scares along the way.
Hopefully they can retain it next season, and another Premiership title would
be nice also.
The three os us also spent a few days in Blackpool.
We spent a lot of time swimming and at the Pleasure Beach and Coral Island,
with some shopping thrown in, as well.
I will have a few weeks at home relaxing,
playing golf and tennis
and I have about five books waiting to be read.
I will be back at the practice table on July
7th.
It will be my first time to play in the club in Celbridge, which is just outside
Dublin.
Hopefully, after a nice break, I will come back fresh and rearing to go for
the new season
and continue my rise back up the rankings.
With some free time on my hands, I will be
